Days after thousands of files linked to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein were released by the US government, millions more have reportedly been identified.

The FBI and the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York have informed the Department of Justice that they have uncovered over a million more documents potentially related to the case.

In a statement, the DOJ said: ‘We have received these documents from SDNY and the FBI to review them for release, in compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, existing statutes, and judicial orders.

‘We have lawyers working around the clock to review and make the legally required redactions to protect victims, and we will release the documents as soon as possible.’

Due to the massive volume of the newly identified documents, it will likely take weeks to release the new material.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act, passed on November 18, 2025, requires the attorney general to release all documents and records in possession of the Department of Justice relating to Jeffrey Epstein, and for other purposes.

What was in the recently released files?

Former President Bill Clinton was pictured in the files last week (Picture: DOJ)

Former US president Bill Clinton featured prominently. Images showed him in a hot tub alongside an anonymous woman, swimming in a pool with Ghislaine Maxwell and posing with Epstein and other anonymous women.

The former president has never been accused of wrongdoing by survivors of Epstein’s abuse, and has denied knowledge of his sex offending.

The files also include photos of Epstein with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, billionaire Richard Branson and the late CBS News anchor Walter Cronkite.

The former member of the Royal Family is seen lying over several people with an awkward smile as Maxwell watches on. But he has always denied any accusations of wrongdoing.

Trump also appears in photos in the files alongside multiple anonymous women, while another picture of personal photos on the financier’s desk includes a picture of the now-president.

Many of the photographs have been released without context, so it is not confirmed where they were taken or when.

Other famous figures pictured in the files include Michael Jackson and Mick Jagger.

None of the images in the tranche show or imply any wrongdoing on the part of anyone shown in them.
