Rival teams aren't done poaching members of the USC football staff. On Tuesday, Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reported that Utah is hiring Joe D'Orazio to become the Utes' next general manager.

D'Orazio spent one season as USC's director of football strategy, and also served as an offensive assistant/assistant running backs coach. D'Orazio has an extensive background as an offensive assistant in both college and the NFL.

Here is what Zachary Neel of College Sports Wire wrote about what this hire means for the Utes:

"The Utah Utes are entering a new era with their football program," Neel wrote. "After 22 seasons with Kyle Whittingham at the helm, the Utes are now turning over a new leaf, led by new head coach Morgan Scalley and Co."

"It appears that Scalley is now filling out his front office and starting to prepare for the new era of college football, where things look much more like the NFL than what the college ranks used to be. One of the most important moves that Scalley has made is hiring a general manager. To fill this position, he went to someone with NFL experience who has also worked at the college level."

"With extensive experience as both an on-field coach and a front-office figure, D'Orazio is an intriguing hire for the Utes as they forge into a new era in Salt Lake City."

But what does this mean for the Trojans? Well, perhaps they will have to dip back into the offensive talent pool and make another addition to Lincoln Riley's staff in the coming days. At Trojans Wire, we will certainly keep an eye out for news of any USC staff additions.
