European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Tuesday that Europe and India are making history today, after the European Union and India concluded a long-pending free trade agreement, capping 18 years of negotiations. "We have concluded the mother of all deals," von der Leyen said in a post on platform X on Tuesday. "We have created a free trade zone of two billion people, with both sides set to benefit." Hailed as the "mother of all deals," the deal marks a landmark partnership between two of the world’s largest economies.
