Chelsea are expected to finalise the departure of Raheem Sterling in the coming days, with the forward poised to complete a move once an agreement is reached.
Talks are currently ongoing between the club and Sterling’s representatives, as both parties work towards resolving the situation before Monday.
Chelsea have indicated their willingness to allow the England international leave, with all sides keen on a swift conclusion.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, discussions are progressing as expected. In a post on X on Tuesday, Romano revealed that Sterling is ready to make his move as negotiations continue.
“Raheem Sterling is expected to leave Chelsea in the next days and is ready to make his move soon. Chelsea and Sterling’s camp are in contact to find a solution before Monday, as Chelsea are prepared to let him leave. Talks are underway between parties,” Romano wrote.
Sterling joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 and has since featured as part of the club’s attacking setup. However, his future at Stamford Bridge has remained uncertain amid limited opportunities.
The winger has been linked with several potential destinations as he seeks regular playing time. Reports indicate that Sterling has not featured in a single match this season and was forced to train separately after failing to secure a move away from Chelsea before the August 2025 transfer deadline.
