It’s no secret. Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) isn’t exactly the biggest fan of EastEnders’ bad boy Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
Probably because he blackmailed the hapless mechanic into becoming an accessory to his drug dealing operation, and kept Harry prisoner in a lockup for weeks to prevent his father Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) from gathering evidence against him.
Things reached boiling point when a traumatised, terrified and, by-then, hopelessly drug-addicted Harry accidentally stabbed Ravi’s drug-dealing accomplice Okie Okyere (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu). Teddy nobly took the rap and went to prison for Okie’s murder, sacrificing himself to save his son. The loss of his father and the trauma he’s endured at Ravi’s hands has left Harry with a slight axe to grind.
Returning from rehab and receiving some advice from Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) about standing tall and being strong, Harry used these words as encouragement to wreak revenge on Ravi.
One can’t help but feel that attacking a man as dangerous and ruthless as Mister Gulati from behind is the best strategy…
Enter Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington). She managed to stop her son before he did anything drastic. But far from talking her son out of revenge, Nicola’s eager to help.
After all, she’s no stranger to revenge. The murderous Mitchell’s rap sheet includes to concealing her accidental murder of Shireen Bashar – and serving a six-month prison sentence for causing grievous bodily harm related to unlicensed lip fillers (don’t ask). Nicola assures Harry that she has a plan that will ensure Ravi gets what he deserves They just need to pick their moment.
And that moment arrives when Ravi is left out as the rest of the family go for an interview with Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Panesar-Unwin’s (Heather Peace) adoption assessors. Later, in Harry’s Barn, Nicola puts her sinister plan into action and spikes Ravi’s drink with drugs.
It doesn’t take long for Ravi to feel the effects. Groggy, he staggers outside where Harry is waiting and steers him towards the arches. What will he do to Ravi?
Meanwhile, Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) is concerned when she can’t find Ravi.
Back at the Arches, Ravi is starting to hallucinate. Harry’s got him at his mercy…until an oblivious Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) interrupts him. Panicked, Harry’s forced to make a hasty exit, leaving Ravi alone as his hallucinations get more intense.
