EastEnders spoilers follow for Monday’s (January 12) episode which is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Anthony Trueman’s (Nicholas Bailey) killer might just have been confirmed after one of the prime suspects demonstrated some questionable behaviour.

Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness), as viewers know, learned after Anthony’s demise that the show’s doctor was none other than her biological father.

The newcomer arrived on the Square last year with a big secret as she sought answers about why mum Zoe Slater (Michelle Collins) left her when she was a child.

Zoe, as fans are aware, was on a quest to find her son at the time, unaware that her daughter was still alive.

The Slater legend was tormented by a mysterious foe, with the big Christmas Eve offering confirming that Jasmine was acting on behalf of Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman).

In addition to all the revelations over the festive season, Anthony was also killed after a showdown with Zoe upstairs in the Vic.

Zoe took the blame for the crime, believing that the fight she had with Anthony is ultimately what resulted in his death, but there’s evidence to suggest that someone else is actually to blame, with Chrissie thus being the prime suspect.

Jean (Gillian Wright), however, wasted little time in pointing the finger at Jasmine, reminding everyone about her torment of Zoe last year, believing such a thing to be strong enough proof to suggest that she’d be capable of murder.

But Jasmine has reiterated her innocence time and again.

Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) refuses to believe Jean’s theory and encouraged everyone to give Jasmine a chance, suggestion that she get to know granddad Patrick (Rudolph Walker) in Monday’s offering of the BBC One soap.

Jasmine took his advice and subsequently arrived at Patrick’s house, where Yolande (Angela Wynter) took her through a photo album containing pictures of Anthony.

Jasmine was spooked to discover that Anthony had other children and her demeanour changed after such a revelation as she branded his death unfair.

Struggling to process the news that she had siblings, Jasmine claimed to be feeling unwell and thus made a beeline for the exit, leaving Yolande and Patrick somewhat confused.

The question is: was Jean’s theory right all along? Did Jasmine kill Anthony? And if so, is her guilt what prompted such a reaction to learning of Anthony’s other children?
