Ahead of Corriedale, cast members from Coronation Street and Emmerdale have met up to delve into the history books for both soaps.
Today, you can watch a one-off feature on YouTube that is sure to get you excited ahead of the crossover, which is airing on January 5.
Countdown to Corriedale is a nostalgic and laughter-filled look back at the biggest moments from Corrie and Emmerdale.
Sydney Martin and Bradley Riches, Danny Miller and Catherine Tyldesley, Shebz Miah and Mollie Gallagher, Mikey North and Amy Walsh will settle into some of the most iconic sets from both shows to watch and react to legendary moments from the archives.
In this 30-minute special, viewers will be reminded why these soaps have captured hearts for generations, and newcomers to both shows will get a crash course in what they have been missing.
Each pairing’s journey through the highlights will lead us closer to the final moments, where the countdown begins for Corriedale itself.
The clips viewed in the special feature for Emmerdale are the plane crash, Ashley’s dementia, Meena’s reign and the limo crash. For Corrie, it’s the showdown between Ken, Deirdre and Mike, Alan Bradley’s death, the Richard Hillman canal disaster, Roy and Hayley’s wedding, and the tram crash.
A shiny new trailer promoting Corriedale was released earlier this week, which confirmed more storyline information as well.
Following the multi-vehicle smash, Kit (Jacob Roberts) tries to take control of the situation, while Carla (Alison King) can be seen in the trailer trying to calm someone down.
Up ahead, Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) is on hand to help Shona and David (Julia Goulding and Jack P Shepherd), while Asha (Tanisha Gorey) is busy with Cain (Jeff Hordley), who are both attempting to help more casualties.
In Hotten General Hospital, pregnant Charity (Emma Atkins) is busy trying to help a screaming Shona, who is also pregnant.
