There’s a potential spot in the top-eight up for grabs in tonight’s showdown against Antonio Conte’s Napoli, a game that Liam Rosenior called “huge” the other day. Chelsea’s spot in the knockout rounds is already assured, but we can skip the Round of 32 by finishing among the eight best and thus immediately advancing to the Round of 16.
Accordingly, we can expect a strong lineup from the head coach. The WAGNH Community is in full support of that notion as well, opting for our “big-game” lineup of double-sixes in midfield and Enzo Fernández pushed further forward into attack, perhaps shading a bit to the left wing as he’s done on such occasions in recent games.
The only starters not receiving over 80% of the vote are Cole Palmer, whose fitness is in doubt, and Andrey Santos, who beats out more attacking options Pedro Neto (41%) and Alejandro Garnacho (37%) for the final spot in the starting XI.
4-2-3-1 (72%)
Sánchez (97%) | Cucurella (95%), Chalobah (91%), Fofana (86%), James (92%) | Santos (56%), Caicedo (97%) | Enzo (90%), Palmer (66%), Estêvão (86%) | João Pedro (85%)
Liam Delap (19%), Malo Gusto (18%), Josh Acheampong (18%), and Jamie Gittens (11%) were the only other players to reach double-digits in the voting.
