Cancer survival rates have significantly improved globally, with the US seeing a 70% five-year survival rate. India, however, lags behind with a 30-35% rate, largely due to late diagnoses, and systemic issues. While some cancers like breast cancer show better outcomes in India, lung cancer remains a major challenge, says Dr. Sachin Trivedi.
