It’s going to be a killer crossover episode for Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

Murderous intent, mayhem, death, destruction, it promises it all – the first ever CorrieDale crossover. We knew it was going to be big, but no one anticipated this big, did we?

Our hearts still haven’t recovered from the great limo crash of ’25 and now we’ve got our heads around the fact that there’s fresh bout of slayings around the corner – not just one character will die, but ‘some’.

The cast have been teasing the impending drama to Metro’s Duncan Lindsay, with Charity Dingle actress Emma Atkins teasing that it will be ‘spectacular’, Lawrence Robb giving clues by revealing that his character doesn’t interact with the Corrie lot (what does it mean?!?!), and Ryan Hawley promising both soaps will be changed forever.

This. Is. Huge.

Up Next

The clever strapline from the ITV bosses of ‘when Two Worlds collide’ is a hint at the utter carnage that we can expect on our screens just as the January Blues get underway.

A multivehicle pile up will lead to devastating scenes and will leave the local hospital overrun with casualties, with the trailers hinting at those screaming out for lost loved ones (Robert Sugden), receiving help from paramedics, and possibly the occupant of a hospital bed (Joe Tate).

But who’s set to be involved? The initial list we were given has grown. It was previously announced that Corrie’s Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), James Bailey (Jason Callender), Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey), Carla Connor (Alison King), Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) would all feature, with the trailer revealing Shona screaming in agony – whether from injury or loss, no one knows quite yet.

From the Emmerdale side of the family, we learned Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) were also in potential peril along with Dr. Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).

And then it was announced devious killer John Sudgen (Oliver Farnworth) would be popping back up too.

There’s more! If that wasn’t enough for you, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) will be involved in the tragedy as he learns Charity’s awful truth about her baby (and with rumours earlier this year suggesting Lawrence is leaving the soap, could this be his monumental exit?) and Corrie’s villainous Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) plans to have Lisa all to herself.

But what will happen to this lot?

John wants Robert gone so he can be with Aaron (Picture: ITV)

Emmerdale’s Aaron has taken off in a car with John, holding a gun to his head and forcing him to drive to the police station.

But John has no intention of ever arriving at the police station, and with nothing to lose, he hits the accelerator and Aaron is forced to intervene, but with catastrophic

effects. Meanwhile, Robert, who had been knocked out cold by John, calls on Joe to go after his lover and the mad man.

Mack is driving like a madman shrouded in red mist after learning that Charity’s baby is not Sarah and Jacob’s.

He now knows she would sink as low as to pass the baby off as Sarah’s to protect her secrets. He’s disgusted, distraught, betrayed, and in control of a moving vehicle.

As he races to catch up with Sarah and Jacob, who are on their way to the airport being driven by Cain, Mack is taken by surprise when Cain slams on the breaks, sending Mack careening off the road.

Kit and Carla are also driving like lunatics in a bid to catch Becky, who’s taken off with Lisa. Kit and Carla come across a crash site and get stuck in saving lives, racing against the fire and mangled vehicles. But Kit soon finds himself zooming off again, this time to catch John, who’s managed to run free.

As traffic piles up around the crash site, a mysterious van pulls up with a woman inside whose wrists and ankles are bound. It’s not clear who they are but it’s clear something terrible is going on.

The rest of the night is at Hotten General as lives hang in the balance and life changing outcomes happen.

It seems that those from the crash aren’t only in danger from injuries, as someone plots to kill, secrets and lies spill out, and someone dies. But what happens to who?

And who is set to make a huge confession? You’ll have to watch to find out.
