‘Tis the season to be…well, pretty dramatic if you’re a resident of Coronation Street.
The wonder and joys of Christmas has seemingly failed to soften the heart of wicked Becky Swain (Amy Cudden), who’s feud with equally shady D.I Costello (Daon Broni) could come to an incredibly sticky end in the back of an ambulance, while Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) ensures Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) will be hard at work on Christmas day.
At appears Santa forgot to drop a ‘truce’ off for Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) and Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) as their claws remain out on Christmas day as sick predator Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) makes herself at home, while there’s trouble brewing between Carl (Jonathan Howard) and Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine)
Of course, you’ll want a little appetiser before you dive into the festive drama, won’t you? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered…

After Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) reconnects with Sienna (Charlotte Tyree) prior to a meeting at work, Becky sprints into action ahead.
Having learned that D.I Costello is showing signs of improvement and is being moved to a rehab facility, she decides to take the ride with him. Flashing a devious smile, and Lisa’s police badge, she convinces Sienna that she’s there as a representative of the force, who are deeply concerned about poor Costello’s well being.
Out of earshot, Becky drops the grin and asks Costello if he’s happy to see her. Judging by the terror in his eyes, we wouldn’t put money on it. What has Becky got planned?

Theo returns home with bags upon bags of food, while, of course, stopping to make a nasty comment about Todd’s attempts at wrapping.
Interspersed with aggressive and controlling taunts, he reveals to a nervous Todd that he’s invited Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) and Glenda (Jodie Prenger) and George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) for Christmas dinner. Theo then ups the pressure by telling Todd that he has to cook dinner.
How much more can Todd take before he breaks?

It’s the Driscoll families first Christmas in the Rover’s, and Eva is incensed to learn that monster-in-law Maggie has invited her ex, Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and his current girlfriend Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) to dinner.
As the tension rises (and Eva is compared to a swine), Megan arrives, with a smitten Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) ecstatic to see her.
As Eva and Maggie trade evil glares, Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) does his best to keep the peace, mainly by way of keeping Eva calm. Can the family hold it together to enjoy a peaceful Christmas?
Can't wait for the next twist?

It’s Boxing Day and Carl, Mr. ‘cake-and-eat-it-too’, had a nice break from the traditional family Christmas with Abi by slotting in a sexy afternoon with James Bailey (Jason Callender), of course, unbeknownst to Abi herself.
Feeling the coldest of shoulders, Carl makes off to do some business, at which point Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) sticks her beak in. She’s scuppered, however, when James arrives and, while talking to Abi, she pays close attention to the necklace he’s wearing.
Though she shakes herself out of it, it’s clear that the necklace has triggered something in her. Has she finally put two and two together?
