A pacey new Belgian thriller has just landed in the UK for viewers to stream for free.
Crime thriller fans have been absolutely spoilt for choice when it comes to original, gripping new shows from The Beast in Me to Jack Whitehall’s Malice, and now there’s another series to add to the list.
As the winter nights grow chillier, the sun sets earlier, and work winds down for the festive period, it’s never been a better time of year to dig your teeth into an engrossing thriller that consumes your evening.
So, if you’re looking for your next bite-sized binge-watch, then look no further as Channel 4 has just dropped the full season of Belgian crime thriller, For Better or Worse.
As the synopsis for the show (translated as Attraction from the original title) reads: ‘Agathe’s (Laura Sépul) comfortable life becomes a pressure cooker of fear when her husband Fred (Lannick Gautry) is linked to a murder. Everyone has their demons, but just how dark are his?’
The cracks in Agathe’s perfect family start to appear when a woman dies at the hotel Fred is staying at during a work trip, with all signs pointing to him as a police investigation starts up.
The 2023 French-language show, finally available in the UK, has landed a high score on IMDb and secured the Best Foreign French Fiction Award at the La Rochelle Fiction Festival in 2022.
For Better or Worse joins a slew of exciting foreign-language thrillers that UK viewers can enjoy.
