The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has raised concerns over reports from parts of the FCT where voters allege that their names are missing from the voter register in multiple polling units.

A statement posted on the party’s X handle alleged that several voters reported that their names were missing from the voter register in multiple polling units.

A video circulating online had shown affected voters claiming that individuals who voted for the Labour Party in the previous election were removed from the system in about 12 polling units within the area.

Reacting to this, the ADC in the X post stated “These voters insist they are duly registered and participated in the last election, yet they are now unable to find their details on the register.”

The party warned that the situation, if verified, raises serious concerns about the integrity of the electoral process.

The party has now called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, NEC, to urgently investigate the complaints, clarify the situation, and ensure that no eligible voter is denied the right to vote.

“Democracy must be protected. Every valid vote must count,” the ADC emphasized.
