After Bill gifted Katie her own fashion house, fans expected the show to go back to its classic runaway wars. The expectation grew further when Eric began secretly designing new clothing lines for her following pressure from Ridge to retire. So, when the time came, Katie and Eric could have made a dramatic reveal to Ridge about working together behind his back.

Unfortunately, that’s not how it panned out. Instead of showcasing a fashion rivalry, the storyline abruptly shifted to Eric developing a health crisis in a recent episode. While Katie did reveal Eric as the mysterious designer behind her clothing line, fans believe the revelation was underwhelming.
