HYDERABAD: BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao hailed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as the pride of all Indians, not just a Maratha warrior, but a defender of nation’s honour against Mughal invaders.

Speaking after paying floral tributes to Shivaji Maharaj on the occasion of his birth anniversary at the state party office, Ramchander Rao termed Shivaji as ‘emperor of all Hindu hearts’ and said that the admiration for Shivaji Maharaj was not limited to any single religion or caste.

“His administrative efficiency and public welfare reforms served as an ideal for the entire nation. There is a need for everyone to walk in the path shown by Shivaji Maharaj, who courageously fought against cruel rulers like Aurangzeb, he said.

Rao said all the states in the country must emulate Shivaji Maharaj’s administrative principles, his rule of righteousness (Dharma) and his spirit of patriotism.

The celebrations were attended by Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind, office-bearers and party workers.

BJP: Cong. residential schools being rushed, students at risk

HYDERABAD: BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao on Thursday alleged that the state government’s proposed Young India Integrated Schools initiative was being implemented without adequate planning, putting students at risk.

Addressing party workers at the BJP state office in Nampally, Rao drew parallels with what he termed as mismanagement of residential schools during the previous BRS regime. Independent Karimnagar corporator S. Komaraiah joined the BJP at the meeting in the presence of Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

Rao alleged that the Congress government was repeating past mistakes and failing to safeguard the education system. He further accused the government of making promises during elections without ensuring their implementation.

Referring to representations made by retired employees’ associations, Rao claimed that 60 retirees had died over the past two years without receiving pending benefits. He demanded that the government clarify the status of retirement dues and fee reimbursement payments to colleges.

He also alleged that administrative priorities were being neglected and claimed that intellectuals and scholars were showing interest in joining the BJP.
