This 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190SL is powered by a 1.9-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in gray over tan leather. Equipment includes a black convertible top, 13″ steel wheels with body-color hubcaps, an AM/FM radio, a “Kinder” rear jump seat, a top boot, and a Becker Europa AM/FM radio. The car was restored in 2012 and purchased by the owner on BaT in 2022. This 190SL is now offered on dealer consignment in California at no reserve with a three-piece luggage set, an owner’s manual, a tool kit, and a Virginia title.

The car was finished from the factory in Anthracite Gray (DB172), and it was repainted in 2012. Other equipment includes a replacement black convertible soft top, a tan boot cover, and a driver-side mirror as well as a bright windshield surround, grille, and bumpers.

Steel 13″ wheels wear chrome trim rings, hubcaps with body-color accents, and Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. The car is equipped with a control-arm front suspension, rear swing axles with coil springs, and power-assisted drum brakes.

The low-back bucket seats have been reupholstered in tan leather and match the door panels and dashboard trim. Amenities include a Becker Europa AM/FM radio, a side-facing “Kinder” jump seat, lap belts, a VDO clock, bright trim, floor mats, and a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror. The horn assembly and the brake-light switch were repaired in May 2022 by Mercedes-Benz Classic of Long Beach, California.

The two-spoke steering wheel features a horn ring and frames VDO instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer plus gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates 2,700 miles. True mileage is unknown.

The 1.9-liter M121 inline-four was factory rated at 105 horsepower and 105 lb-ft of torque and sends power to the rear wheels through a fully synchronized four-speed manual transmission. The oil and filter were changed and the chassis and doors were lubricated in May 2022.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a fully synchronized four-speed manual transmission. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery.

A three-piece luggage set, an owner’s manual, and a tool kit are included in the sale.
