This 1967 Ford Mustang fastback was built on June 23rd, 1967, and originally specified with Candyapple Red paintwork, a black interior, power steering, air conditioning, and a 289ci V8 linked to a C-4 automatic transmission. It was acquired in 2005 by the seller, who has since refreshed the suspension, mounted 14″ styled-steel wheels and front disc brakes, had the engine and transmission rebuilt, and overhauled the fuel and cooling systems. This Mustang fastback is now offered with an Elite Marti Report, the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The seller believes the original owner was involved in an accident that affected a front corner in the 1970s, and the car was restored in the 1990s by its second owner. LED lighting has been installed and the taillight bezels were replaced by the seller, who notes that there are rust bubbles around the bezels and holes in the cowl. Rust is present behind the left rear wheel arch. Custom covers are included.

The seller added the 14″ styled-steel wheels in 2015, and a front disc brake conversion and booster kit was installed at the same time. The suspension was also refreshed in 2015, and new pads and rotors were installed in 2022 – at which time the front end was refreshed again. The BFGoodrich tires were mounted in 2023.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl. The car was ordered with tinted windows, air conditioning, an AM radio, and power steering. Welds under the driver’s seat have pulled away from the floor pan.

The steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer has rolled over and now indicates 18k miles, and the seller estimates they have driven it 50k miles over the last 21 years.

The 289ci V8 was factory rated at 200 horsepower, and photos taken during a 2014 engine rebuild are shown in the gallery below. An ACP Max Core radiator was installed in 2022, at which time radiator hoses, water pump, and ignition components were replaced. The seller notes that the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, starter coil, and voltage regulator were replaced in December 2025.

The C-4 automatic transmission was rebuilt in 2015, and the rear end was overhauled in 2016.

Removed front drum brakes, control arms for suspension, the transmission housing, and various other parts will be included.
