Federal Government has concluded plans to launch its digital trade platform for air and sea cargo in March 2026.

Speaking to TheCable after the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, announced the plan on X, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs, Henry Agbebire, said the digital platform is not limited to cargo operations alone, adding that it will cover both air and seaports.

In an official post on X, FAAN stated that “the Directorate of Cargo Development and Services of FAAN, in collaboration with the NSW (Nigeria) team, recently engaged with key stakeholders and announced that the Digital Trade Platform is scheduled for launch in March 2026.

“During the engagement, all cargo airline operators were directed by the Honourable Minister of Finance to submit their air cargo manifests through the National Single Window (platform in preparation for the official launch. To facilitate a seamless transition, training sessions will be conducted ahead of the rollout to ensure smooth adoption and effective utilisation of the system.”
