LG Electronics has launched a nationwide campaign aimed at celebrating long-standing customer loyalty by searching for the oldest still-functioning LG television sets across Nigeria.

The initiative, themed “The Oldest LG TV”, is designed to honour customers whose LG televisions have stood the test of time, while introducing them to the company’s latest AI-powered QNED TV technology.

Announcing the campaign, General Manager, Media Entertainment Solutions, LG Electronics Nigeria, Mr. Choongbae Seok, said the initiative reflects the brand’s journey from analogue to artificial intelligence-driven innovation.

“The journey from our classic CRT Televisions to today’s AI QNED technology reflects how far both our customers and our innovation have come,” Seok said.

“Those early sets were built to last, and many are still functioning today, a testament to durability and consumer trust.

This initiative allows us to honour that legacy while introducing a new era of intelligent viewing, where the screen does more than show content; it adapts, learns and enhances every moment.”

According to the company, participants are required to upload a photo or video of their old LG TV and share how long they have owned it, along with the memories attached to the device.

The winner will receive a brand-new LG AI QNED TV.

LG said the storytelling-driven campaign is intended to highlight the emotional connection many Nigerian families have built with their television sets over the years, while demonstrating the evolution of home entertainment technology.

The company noted that its AI-enabled QNED TVs are designed to learn user preferences, recommend content and enhance picture quality in real time, offering a more personalised and immersive viewing experience.

Meanwhile, LG also unveiled its 2026 AI television lineup at its InnoFest 2026 Middle East and Africa event held in Abu Dhabi.

At the event, the company presented its premium models, including the flagship OLED evo G6 and 100-inch Micro RGB evo TVs powered by the new Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen 3, aimed at delivering improved processing speed and smarter picture and sound technologies.

The OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV, an ultra-slim model designed to sit flush against the wall, was also showcased, featuring true wireless connectivity to reduce cable clutter.

LG said the new lineup underscores its strategy to accelerate growth in emerging markets through advanced AI-powered home entertainment solutions.
