1987 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Hatchback at No Reserve

This 1987 Ford Mustang GT hatchback is powered by a 302ci V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a Traction-Lok rear axle, and it is finished in Scarlet Red over Scarlet Red cloth. Equipment includes removable roof panels, gray over-the-top stripes, 15″ alloy wheels, a rear hatch spoiler, fog lights, front sport seats, air conditioning, cruise control, and a cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer. The current owner purchased the car in 2014 and recent work consisted of replacing the tires and installing an aftermarket exhaust system. Previously listed on BaT in December 2025, this Fox-body Mustang GT shows 5k miles and is now offered at no reserve in New Mexico on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual, a Deluxe Marti report, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Louisiana title.

The car is finished in Scarlet Red (2D) with gray over-the-top stripes and features removable roof panels, fog lights, GT-specific bodywork, a fixed antenna, and a rear hatch spoiler.

The 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with 225/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that were installed in 2025. Standard equipment included a Handling Suspension Package featuring variable-rate springs and a Quadra-Shock rear setup along with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Weld-in subframe connectors have been fitted.

The cabin features articulated front sport seats and a rear bench upholstered in Scarlet Red cloth and vinyl. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, a cassette stereo, a graphic equalizer, and power windows, door locks, and mirrors.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 5k miles. A 2014 Carfax report entry displays 51k miles.

The 302ci V8 was factory rated at 225 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Aftermarket exhaust headers have been fitted, and an oil change was performed in July 2025. The factory emissions equipment has been removed.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a Traction-Lok rear axle. An aftermarket dual exhaust system has been fitted.
