President Bola Tinubu on Monday commended the military for its efforts to curtail insecurity.
He expressed gratitude to the armed forces for their work in combating insurgents, bandits, kidnappers, and others, stressing, “together, we shall win.”
The president made these remarks during a stop at the Government House in Yola while touring projects executed by the Ahmadu Fintiri-led Adamawa State Government, commissioning some and inaugurating others.
He commended Governor Fintiri for the notable projects his administration has executed or is executing and urged him to complement infrastructural development efforts by involving all his people in whatever he does.
Governor Fintiri, in turn, thanked the president for visiting the state and commissioning some of his projects.
Fintiri also announced that a new NYSC camp being constructed by his government would be named after the president. The new NYSC camp was among the projects visited and inaugurated by Tinubu.
Other projects commissioned by the president included a mega model school in Yola, representing 21 newly built model schools across the state for the purpose of the commissioning; a newly expanded ultra-modern High Court Complex; and the automated main gate at Government House, complete with a newly constructed Governor’s Office.
Additionally, the newly constructed underpass at the former Bekaji Roundabout, part of the expanded eight-lane Bank Road in Jimeta, Yola, was inaugurated.
All the projects are located within the Yola North and Yola South municipal local government areas.
The Adamawa State Government stated in a notice that these projects, delivered under Governor Fintiri’s administration, cover key sectors including education, justice, governance, security, healthcare, and human capital development.
