This 1954 Willys M38A1 was refurbished three years before it was acquired by the current owner in 2019. The body is finished in green and brown camouflage, and matching upholstery covers the split front and rear bench seats. Equipment includes a front brush guard, a folding windshield, recovery shackles, side steps, a roll bar, a swing-away rear tire carrier, manually locking front hubs, black-finished steel wheels, a cigar lighter, and a wooden center console. The vehicle is powered by a 134.2ci inline-four linked with a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. This M38A1 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with maintenance manuals, caretaker notes, and a clean Maryland title in the current owner’s name.

The body is finished in green and brown camouflage paint, and details include a front brush guard, a folding windshield, recovery shackles, side steps, a windshield wiper, Willys lettering cut out of the tailgate, and a ’54 grille ornament. The seller tells us that bullet hole repairs have been completed, and the windshield and associated gaskets have been replaced.

Black-finished steel wheels are mounted with Goodyear Wrangler tires, and a covered spare is mounted to a rear swing-away carrier. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs. The seller notes the brake master cylinder was replaced in preparation for the sale.

The individual front seats and rear bench wear green camouflage-pattern covers. A black roll bar has been installed along with a cigar lighter, a wooden center console, and a Dwight Eisenhower caricature figure on the dashboard.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a center-mounted 60-mph speedometer and Bosch readouts for voltage, temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The indicator lever does not self-cancel. The five-digit odometer shows 1,300 miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 134.2ci inline-four received a replacement water pump, radiator, battery, generator, and distributor cap and rotor during the refurbishment, according to the seller. The seller reports an oil leak is present. The battery was replaced and an oil change was completed in prepration for the sale.

The three-speed manual transmission is linked with a dual-range transfer case. The seller notes that the fuel tank, pump, exhaust system, and universal joints have been replaced.

Maintenance manuals, caretaker notes, parts lists, and a wiring diagram are included in the sale.
The Maryland title carries a “Not Actual Mileage” odometer brand.
