This 1961 Ford F-100 Custom Styleside is a short-bed “big-window” pickup that was purchased by the seller in 2010 as a non-running project. In 2024, the unibody was combined with a chassis and drivetrain reportedly sourced from a 2009 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Power is provided by a fuel-injected 4.6-liter V8 linked to a four-speed automatic transmission, and the truck rides on 17″ five-spoke wheels and has power steering, a rear Watt’s linkage, and four-wheel disc brakes. Bodywork was performed before the truck was repainted in red, and further details include a raised diamond-plate bed floor, chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, and a pair of low-back bucket seats trimmed in beige upholstery. This custom F-100 is now offered with a set of spare wheels and tires, a bill of sale for the donor car, and a clean Washington title in the seller’s name.

The Styleside bodywork was modified to mount it to the Crown Victoria chassis, and areas of rust were repaired before the truck was repainted in red. The window seals and weatherstripping have been replaced. Exterior details include a big window, a raised diamond-plate bed floor, chrome bumpers, cargo tie-down hooks, and dual side mirrors. Indentations throughout the body were retained. The truck does not currently have an antenna, door locks, or turn signals, and the wiper system is incomplete.

The 17″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with Mohave tires. The build retained the Crown Victoria’s independent front suspension, power rack-and-pinion steering, coil-sprung rear axle with a Watt’s linkage, and four-wheel disc brakes. The seller tells us that the rear wheels rub occasionally.

The cab features a pair of low-back bucket seats trimmed in beige upholstery and accompanied by red carpeting and a two-tone dashboard. The heater core leaks.

Crown Victoria instrumentation set into the factory dash includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges measuring coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 97k chassis miles, approximately 2,500 of which were accrued under current ownership. The seller estimates having driven 1k miles since the build was completed.

The fuel-injected 4.6-liter SOHC V8 sends power through a four-speed automatic transmission.

Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery. Rust damage and areas of body filler on the the underside of the body are present. A detailed walk-through of the underside is provided in the video gallery.

The vehicle is titled as a 1961 Ford using the VIN F10JR181522, which appears on a reproduction warranty tag mounted to the left door. A redacted bill of sale for the donor Crown Victoria is presented in the gallery.
