This 1977 Mercedes-Benz 240D spent time in California and was serviced at the seller’s automotive repair shop, Renato Benz Service in Aleso Viejo, California, before it was purchased by the seller in 2015. Finished in Light Ivory over tan MB-Tex, the car is powered by a 2.4-liter diesel inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include disc brakes, 14″ steel wheels, chrome bumpers, a cabin heater, crank windows, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo. This W123 240D shows 54k miles and is offered at no reserve with woven-fiber floor mats, service records, and a salvage California title in the seller’s name.

The body left the factory finished in Light Ivory, and the trunk and rear quarter panels have been repainted. Exterior details include bright trim, dual side mirrors, a power antenna, and chrome bumpers.

The 14″ steel wheels wear bright covers with body-color centers and are mounted with Prime Well PS850 tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs. Scuffs are visible on the wheel covers.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in tan MB-Tex. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard, and additional appointments include a cabin heater, crank windows, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 54k miles, less than 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.4-liter OM616 diesel inline-four was factory rated at 62 horsepower and 97 lb-ft of torque. Service since 2020 is said to have included replacing the radiator, glow plugs, and accessory drive belts. The most recent oil change was performed in December 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, which was reportedly serviced in 2021. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery.
The current California title carries a Salvage brand.
