1984 Toyota Celica Supra P-Type 5-Speed

This 1984 Toyota Celica Supra P-Type was sold new on July 17, 1984, from Harr Toyota of Worcester, Massachusetts, and is said to have remained in the care of its original owner and their family until being acquired by the seller in 2024, with approximately 35 years spent in Colorado between October 1984 and 2019. Service since then involved servicing the air conditioning system and replacing the timing belt, heater hoses, tires, shocks, and various seals and gaskets. Finished in Dark Blue Metallic, the car is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. It rolls on 14″ alloy wheels and is further equipped with a powered sunroof, headlight washers, a rear spoiler, and four-wheel disc brakes. Inside, the sport seats are trimmed in blue cloth with patterned inserts and are joined with automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, and a cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer. This A60 Celica Supra shows 121k miles and is now offered with a copy of the window sticker, a copy of a 1984-dated invoice, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The P-Type Celica Supra was distinguished from the L-Type by widened fender flares and headlight washers. This example is finished in Dark Blue Metallic (8B4), and additional details include a power sunroof, pop-up headlights, and a rear window wiper. The power-operated antenna is broken, but the seller states that a factory replacement will be included in the sale. Faded paint is noted on the spoiler.

The 14″ eight-spoke alloy wheels were wrapped in 235/60 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires in October 2024. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel vented discs. The shock absorbers along with the strut inserts and mounts were replaced in January 2025.

The front sport seats are upholstered in blue cloth with patterned inserts and vinyl sides, and color-matching material extends to the door panels. Toyota-branded floor mats line the footwells, and appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, driver’s seat air-adjustable lumbar support, power windows and locks, and a cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer. The air conditioning system was retrofitted to utilize R134a refrigerant in October 2024.

The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline alongside gauges for voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The coolant temperature gauge was repaired in January 2025. The six-digit odometer shows 121k miles, approximately 600 of which have been added under current ownership.

The 2.8L DOHC 5M-GE inline-six features electronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 160 horsepower and 159 lb-ft of torque. Service since 2024 involved replacing the timing belt, hood support struts, heater hoses, crankshaft and camshaft seals, valve cover gaskets, and water and oil pump gaskets.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
