This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe is said to have been acquired by the current owner’s father in 1967, but it is not believed to have run since 2002 and the car is said to have been in storage for approximately 25 years. It has a 327ci L76 V8 and an automatic transmission conversion. It is refinished in white with a red interior. Equipment includes 15″ turbine-style wheels with three-eared knock-off spinners, an AM/FM radio, and concealed headlights. This C2 split-window coupe project is now offered by the seller with a clean Colorado title.

The fiberglass body has been refinished in White. Exterior features include flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance. The hood is misaligned, and imperfections around the car are shown in the gallery.

The 15″ turbine-style wheels wear three-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with whitewall tires that show dry rot. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.

The two bucket seats are upholstered in red vinyl and accompanied by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an analog clock, an AM/FM radio, and lap belts. Wear and tear around the cabin is shown in the gallery.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles.

The 327ci L76 V8 was equipped from the factory with a single four-barrel carburetor and a high-lift camshaft for a factory rating of 340 horsepower. The keys are lost, and the engine does not run.

The engine stamping is shown above.

An automatic transmission has been fitted in place of the four-speed manual.
