This 1992 Toyota Supra GT Twin Turbo Type R is a Japanese-market JZA70 example that is powered by a twin-turbocharged 2.5L 1JZ-GTE inline-six linked with an R154 five-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. It is said to have remained in the care of its original owner in Japan before being acquired by the seller and brought to the US in 2016, and it now shows 51k kilometers (~32k miles). The car is finished in black over gray cloth upholstery and is further equipped with 16″ alloy wheels, fog lights, a rear spoiler, Recaro front seats, a MOMO steering wheel and shift knob, automatic climate control, a turbo timer, and a Carrozzeria head unit. This JZA70 Supra is now offered with a set of four wheel center caps, a tool roll, and Connecticut registration in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Black (202), and the right fender is said to have been repainted under previous ownership in Japan. Details include a fixed hardtop, fog lights, power-folding side mirrors, a three-piece rear spoiler, and a rear window wiper. The seller notes that the front lip brake air ducts are missing, the paint on the mirror assemblies is flaking, and the right-side front side marker and right-front mud flap are cracked. Ceramic coating has been applied to the vehicle.

Powder-coated 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels are wrapped in 225/50 BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp2 tires. A set of non-color-matched Toyota center caps will accompany the vehicle. Braking is provided by discs at all four corners, and the seller tells us that the front brake pads will need to be replaced soon.

The right-hand-drive cabin houses Recaro front seats that are trimmed in gray cloth with patterned inserts, while color-matching material extends to the fold-down rear seats. Supra-branded floor mats line the footwells, and appointments include a BeTime Best One turbo timer, a Carrozzeria head unit, automatic climate control, and power windows and locks. The seller states that Recaro rear seats are also equipped. The driver’s seat bottom sags, the tops of the rear seats are cracking and sun-faded, and the right door sill entry plate is cracked and loose.

The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel is paired with a MOMO shift knob, and instrumentation consists of a 180-km/h speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer alongside auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, boost pressure, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 51k kilometers (~32k miles), approximately 32k of which have been added under current ownership.

The twin-turbocharged and intercooled 2.5L 1JZ-GTE was factory rated at 276 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. The seller tells us that the most recent timing belt service was in 2012, and that the ECU was rebuilt by Driftmotion approximately five years ago. A replacement factory alternator was reportedly installed in 2025, and the battery is said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale. The finish on the right valve cover is failing.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via an R154 five-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential with 4.10:1 gears. The transmission fluid was changed approximately 2 years ago, according to the seller.

The car is being sold on its Connecticut registration, which serves as the ownership document in the state. The certificate lists Antique registered usage for the vehicle.
