2008 BMW 550i Sport 6-Speed

This 2008 BMW 550i is a Canadian-market example finished in Space Gray Metallic over dark blue Dakota leather, and it was ordered with the 550i Sport Package, which added aerodynamic bodywork, a Sport suspension, a shorter shifter, and multi-contour front seats. Powered by a 4.8-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission, the car is further equipped with the Cold Weather Package, an Active Autowerke tune, a Dinan intake, a modified exhaust, 19″ Style 172M wheels, and a heated steering wheel. The car has remained registered in Alberta, Canada, since new, and the seller reports adding approximately 24k of the 156k indicated kilometers (~97k miles) following their 2021 acquisition. This E60 is now offered in Canada with service records and Alberta registration.

The car is finished in Space Gray Metallic and is equipped with the optional 550i Sport Package, which adds aerodynamic bodywork and Shadowline trim. Additional exterior features include a sunroof, adaptive xenon headlights with washers, and an aftermarket rear diffuser and badging. The US Carfax report notes “minor” front-end damage in September 2010 and vandalism damage in 2022. The seller tells us that all but the roof and bumper covers were repainted to address the latter damage.

The 19″ Style 172M alloy wheels are mounted with winter tires. The optional Sport Package added a Sport suspension and active roll stabilization. Stopping power is provided by ventilated discs at each corner.

The heated power-adjustable multi-contour front seats are upholstered in dark blue Dakota leather that extends to the door panels. The interior also offers a shorter shifter, anthracite bamboo wood trim, iDrive infotainment, cruise control, Comfort Access, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

The heated leather-wrapped Sport steering wheel frames a speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level and instant fuel economy. The digital odometer indicates 156k kilometers (~97k miles), approximately 24k of which were added under current ownership. The seller notes an illuminated TPMS warning light on the dashboard.

The 4.8-liter N62B48 V8 is modified with an Active Autowerke tune and a Dinan air-intake system. A December 2024 inspection recommended replacing the knock sensors.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, the clutch for which was replaced in May 2024. The seller tells us that the exhaust system is modified with aftermarket headers, and an October 2024 record notes that the mid muffler was removed and baffle pack resonators were installed.

The US Carfax report notes the aforementioned vandalism and damage.

The car is being sold on its Alberta registration, which serves as the ownership document in Alberta, Canada.
