Businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, aka Cubana Chief Priest, and Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, have traded words over the former’s romance with City Boy Movement, a group aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Fayose earlier claimed in a video uploaded on Instagram that the Igbo are “easy to buy” as long as one has “money and power”.
Reacting on Wednesday on the photo-sharing app, Cubana Chief Priest said he chose to support the Tinubu administration because he is an employer of labour who must make decisions that will benefit his businesses.
“Over 30 governors align and you are crying because an ordinary businessman aligned? Power pass power,” he wrote.
He challenged Fayose to a public business debate, questioning the source of his wealth and referencing Fayose’s brother’s eight-year tenure as governor.
“You want me to negotiate the release of Nnamdi Kanu by being in opposition? I have chosen my path – business and politics,” he stated.
The self-professed celebrity barman further declared his support for President Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’, expressing confidence in the president’s policies.
“As for me and my family, we have decided to stay with the moving train, Renewed Hope,” he said.
Cubana Chief Priest also highlighted his investments in hospitality and real estate, particularly in his home community, insisting he has contributed significantly to economic development and job creation.
He accused Fayose of jealousy and attempting to recruit him into political opposition, maintaining that he is “not an activist” but a businessman focused on growth and partnerships.
