This Jet Black 1997 BMW 840Ci has been modified with a lowered suspension, 18″ Style 37 wheels, and CSi-style bumper covers along with a Magnaflow exhaust system and a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB Bluetooth-capable stereo. Power is provided by 4.4-liter V8 linked to a five-speed automatic transmission, and the car is also equipped with a sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and heated power-adjustable front seats. The car has spent much of its time registered in Texas and California, and it was listed on BaT in June 2019 before it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024. This E31 has 82k miles and is now offered at no reserve with a window sticker, an owner’s manual, a binder of service records and past ownership documentation, a Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The car left the factory finished in Jet Black and has been fitted with CSi-style bumper covers. Exterior details include a power-operated sunroof, pop-up headlights, fog lights, a rear spoiler, and quadruple exhaust outlets. Damage is noted on the Carfax report in a September 2019 entry. The seller notes that a ceramic coating and ceramic window tint have been applied. The sunroof motor and rails are said to have been recently replaced.

The car rides on staggered-width 18″ Style 37 (M Parallel) wheels mounted with 245/40 front and 275/35 rear BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS. The suspension has been lowered, and Bilstein dampers and H&R springs were noted to have been installed in the June 2019 BaT auction.

The heated and power-adjustable front seats are trimmed in Light Parchment leather complemented by matching door panels and carpets. A Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB Bluetooth-capable stereo has been installed, and a Kicker subwoofer is located in the trunk. Additional equipment includes an onboard computer, dual-zone climate control, driver-seat position memory settings, and a power-adjustable steering column. A replacement microsuede headliner has been fitted.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 190-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 82k miles.

The 4.4-liter M62B44 V8 was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The selling dealer notes that a battery kill switch is equipped.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. A Magnaflow exhaust system was installed prior to June 2019.

The window sticker notes initial delivery to West County BMW of Manchester, Missouri, along with factory equipment, colors, and a total suggested retail price of $77,970. A binder containing over 60 pages of service and repair records along with documentation including prior bills of sale, proof of delivery to California, a transport bill of lading, and prior title will accompany the car.

The Carfax report notes the aforementioned damage.
