Nissan introduced the 2026 Rogue Plug-In Hybrid last fall and now the company has announced pricing will begin at $45,990. That’s $16,900 more than the regular model, but the two have little in common besides a name.
In fact, the Rogue Plug-In Hybrid is a badge-engineered version of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. However, that crossover is significantly cheaper as the 2025 model begins at $40,445 before a $1,745 destination fee. That being said, Nissan’s version comes in two well-equipped trims compared to the Outlander’s five.
More: Nissan’s New Rogue Plug-in Hybrid Isn’t Even A Nissan
Kicking things off is the Rogue Plug-in Hybrid SL, which comes with rain-sensing wipers and a motion-activated power liftgate. The model also has 20-inch black wheels as well as gloss black mirrors with illuminated turn signals.
The seven-seat interior sports a leather-wrapped steering wheel as well as leatherette upholstery. Buyers will also find heated front seats with eight-way power adjustment on the driver’s side.
They’re joined by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch infotainment system with wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Rounding out the highlights are a dual-zone automatic climate control system and a wireless smartphone charger.
A dizzying array of driver assistance systems come standard including ProPILOT Assist, Intelligent Cruise Control, and an Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection.
The crossover also has Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning / Lane Keep Assist. This is on top of Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Automatic Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Blind Spot Warning / Intervention.
A Luxurious Platinum
Moving up the trim ladder is the $49,990 Rogue Plug-in Hybrid Platinum. It’s distinguished by roof rails, a panoramic moonroof, and fancier outside mirrors with memory and reverse tilt-down functions.
The upgrades continue inside with leather, a power front passenger seat, and a front seat memory system. Other niceties include a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and a nine-speaker Bose premium audio system. Buyers will also find an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a tri-zone automatic climate control system, and LED accent lighting.
Regardless of which trim is selected, all models have a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, and a 20 kWh battery pack.
This gives the all-wheel drive crossover a combined output of 248 hp (185 kW / 251 PS) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque. Drivers can also expect an electric-only range of 38 miles (61 km).
