This 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbo remained registered in Texas from new until March 2017, and it spent time in New Jersey before a 2022 refurbishment that is said to have involved converting the air-conditioning system to utilize R134a refrigerant, servicing the suspension and braking systems, and replacing the cruise control module as well as changing the starter motor, radiator, driveshaft center support bearing, flex discs, wheels and tires, and more as described below. Acquired by the seller in March 2025, the car is finished in black over beige MB-Tex upholstery. Power is provided by a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-five paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes a power antenna, fog lights, automatic climate control, and a Becker stereo. This W123 300D Turbo shows 116k miles and is offered with a clean Carfax report and a South Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in black. Exterior details include a power antenna, a Turbo Diesel decklid badge, fog lights, and dual side mirrors with bright caps.

Replacement 14″ Bundt alloy wheels were mounted with 195/70 Uniroyal tires in 2022. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at each corner. According to the seller, work in 2022 involved changing the power steering fluid, repacking the wheel bearings, flushing the brake fluid, and replacing the tie rods, ball joints, control arm bushings, front shock absorbers, brake hoses, anti-roll bar end links, front and rear brake rotors, and rear brake calipers.

The front bucket seats and the rear bench seat are upholstered in beige MB-Tex, and the car is equipped with power windows. The seller tells us that the Becker stereo and the woodgrain dashboard trim were refurbished in 2022, at which time the carpeting was cleaned, the throttle linkage was lubricated, the cruise control module was replaced, and the air-conditioning system was converted to utilize R134a refrigerant and fitted with the following replacement components:
- Automatic climate control module
- Compressor
- Condenser
- Drier
- Pressure switch
- Temperature switch
- Expansion valve
- Mono valve
- Blower motor

The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 125-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and an analog clock as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 116k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-five produced 123 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque when new, and it drives the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The seller tells us that work in 2022 included adjusting the valve clearances, refurbishing the CV axles, applying a rust-inhibiting treatment to the battery tray, changing the transmission and differential fluids, and replacing the following components:
- Starter motor
- Radiator
- Vacuum line connectors
- Air cleaner housing bushings
- Fuel filter
- Driveshaft center support and bearing
