APC welcomes Plateau Gov, Muftwang into party

The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Monday officially welcomed the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Muftwang into its fold.

An event organized to welcome the governor is taking place in Jos, Plateau State capital.

The governor’s Political Adviser, Istifanus Nwansat, said Muftwang’s decision to join the APC was informed by the chaos in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Nwansat explained that the defection would also align with President Bola Tinubu’s political and governance trajectory on the plateau.

He noted that the crisis in the PDP had made the platform an unrealistic podium for political actors to contest elections.
