Ikorodu City secured the top spot in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after a comfortable 2-0 home win over Niger Tornadoes on Sunday.
Joseph Arumala scored both goals for the Oga Boys.
Arumala opened the scoring for Ikorodu City three minutes after the half-hour mark.
He doubled the advantage from the penalty spot two minutes from time.
Ikorodu City top the standings with 41 points from 25 matches.
Nasarawa United dropped to third position after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bayelsa United.
Victor John gave the hosts the lead after seven minutes, while Energy Otunuya restored parity for Bayelsa United eight minutes before the break.
Holders Remo Stars lost 1-0 to Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
Luis Dadong’s 57th-minute strike separated the two teams on the night.
