This 1971 Dodge Challenger coupe is powered by a 318ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in Gold Metallic over Chestnut vinyl. The seller purchased the car out of an Arizona estate in June 2024, and subsequent work is said to have involved replacing the timing chain and the fuel pump as well as overhauling the cooling, braking, and suspension systems. Equipment includes a dual exhaust system, Rallye 14″ wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, a center console, and woodgrain interior trim. This Challenger is now offered with an Arizona title under the seller’s family trust.

The car was finished from the factory in Gold Metallic (GY8) and features quad headlights, a driver-side mirror, bright trim, chrome bumpers, and round dual exhaust outlets. Bubbling paint and other imperfections are pictured in the gallery below.

Rallye 14″ wheels are mounted with three Goodyear Eagle ST tires and one BFGoodrich Radial T/A tire. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The seller tells us that the brake calipers were rebuilt under current ownership and the front rotors and pads were replaced along with the wheel bearings, control arms, tie rods, and shocks. The seller states that the gearbox for the power-steering system should be replaced.

The front bucket seats and the rear bench are trimmed in Chestnut vinyl. Interior appointments include a center console, a Slap Stik shifter, woodgrain trim, and bright doorsill plates. A radio is no longer installed in the dashboard, and package-shelf speakers have been added. A fitted carpeted mat covers the dash top. The air conditioning is inoperative. The passenger-side door handles do not work, and replacement components are included in the sale, the seller states.

The three-spoke steering wheel has an aftermarket wrap and sits ahead of a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, amperage, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 41k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. The fuel gauge is inoperative.

The 318ci V8 was factory rated at 155 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The timing chain, water pump, water-pump cover, thermostat, and cooling hoses reportedly were replaced under current ownership, as were the spark plugs, fuel pump, and various hoses.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. Corrosion is noted on underbody and engine-bay components.
