Emmerdale reminds us all how Caleb knows Graham

Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) wandered into the pub in tonight’s Emmerdale to confirm to more residents that he’s back from the dead.

After returning to Home Farm a few days ago, Graham contemplated leaving again, as Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) made it clear that he would’ve preferred it if he stayed dead.

However, after some encouragement from Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), Joe decided to give Graham another chance.

Since then, Joe and Graham haven’t made a great effort to tell other people in the neighbourhood that he faked his own death in 2020. They changed their mind this evening, as Lydia Dingle’s (Karen Blick) reaction to seeing Graham again left Dawn convinced it would be better to just rip the plaster off.

And that’s exactly what they did.

Joe and Graham went to the pub and left a number of people stunned. The duo were looking at Sam Dingle (James Hooton), Ryan Stocks (James Moore), Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle), Eric Pollard (Chris Chittel), Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), all people who knew Graham from when he lived in the village six years ago.

Sat behind them were Ruby (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash). As they’ve only been in Emmerdale for a couple of years, you’d be forgiven for assuming this couple had no idea who Graham is – but that wasn’t the case.

Ruby got up and introduced herself to Graham, and it then became apparent he already knows Caleb.

Ruby was curious, but Caleb didn’t have time to explain how he knows Graham, as he had to go to work.

In 2023, when Caleb was busy trying to take Home Farm from Kim Tate (Claire King), we also learnt that he’s the son of Frank Tate.

In June of that year, Caleb revealed his identity to Kim, and confirmed that he knows she let Frank die.

Curious as to how he knew of something that occurred to many years ago, Kim was stunned when Caleb confirmed he got Graham Foster drunk, and then learnt everything about Frank’s final moments.

Caleb’s revenge against Kim happened at the time his relationship with Ruby was incredibly fractured.

She’s in the dark about his connection to Graham at the moment, but will Ruby learn about it soon?
