This 1990 Hartge H5SP is based on an E34 535i and spent time in Canada before being brought to the US in 2018. Power comes from a Hartge-modified and rebuilt 3.4L M30 inline-six linked to a four-speed automatic transmission, and model-specific features include a body kit, a rear spoiler, side stripes, multi-piece 16” wheels, and a front strut tower brace. The interior is trimmed in black leather upholstery with burl wood accents, and amenities include an Italvolanti steering wheel, a power sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, cruise control, an onboard computer, and a Continental digital media receiver. This H5SP was acquired by the current owner in 2025 and is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title.

The car left the factory finished in Diamond Black Metallic and is said to have been repainted around five years ago. Hartge styling components include unique lower bodywork, a rear wing, and side stripes. Other details include a heckblende license plate filler panel, a power-operated sunroof, fog lights, headlight washers, and tinted windows.

Hartge 16” multi-piece wheels are wrapped in 225/50 front and 245/45 rear Pirelli P Zero tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with ABS.

The seats and door panel inserts are trimmed in black leather, and burl wood accents the Italvolanti steering wheel and the door panels. A Continental digital media receiver has been installed, and additional appointments include heated and power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, an onboard computer, and power windows.

The replacement instrument cluster comprises a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an inset fuel efficiency indicator, and auxiliary gauges. The seller dealer reports that the digital odometer was not recalibrated and indicates 116k kilometers (~72k miles).

The 3.4-liter M30 inline-six was modified by Hartge with high-compression pistons, a ported cylinder head, a revised camshaft, headers, and a branded valve cover. An engine rebuild was completed approximately 200 miles ago in 2020, and the selling dealer states that it involved replacing the head gasket, rod bearings, and piston rings. A strut tower brace spans the engine compartment. An oil change was performed in May 2025.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage from its first entry in 2006.

The car has not been inspected by the California Air Resources Board, though it passed a California emissions test in November 2025.
