Tirupati: A 19-year-old second-year nursing student was found dead in her private college hostel in Tirupati on Wednesday, in an apparent case of suicide.

The deceased was identified as Bheeshmanjali, a resident of Chirasambedu village in Pellakuru mandal.

According to Tirupati East police, Bheeshmanjali stayed back in her hostel room while her roommates attended classes. She was later found dead by other hostel inmates.

On receiving information, Police inspected the spot, collected details and sent the body for postmortem. They registered a case based on a complaint by her parents and an investigation is underway.
