This 1957 Mercury Monterey four-door hardtop sedan was purchased by the current owner in 2000 and refurbished over the ensuing five years. The car is finished in green and yellow over black, gray, and beige vinyl and is powered by a 312ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes black 15″ steel wheels, a heater, and dual side mirrors. This Monterey is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner at no reserve with an Idaho title in the owner’s name.

The four-door pillarless hardtop was refinished in green and yellow between 2000 and 2005, and exterior details include dual side mirrors, quad headlights, and chrome bumpers, trim, and window surrounds. Imperfections in the trim, cracked taillight lenses, and the condition of the hood ornament can be viewed in the gallery.

Black 15″ steel wheels feature chrome trim rings and spider hubcaps, and they are mounted with 215/75 whitewall radial tires. Braking is provided by drums at each corner.

The cabin houses front and rear bench seats that were reupholstered in black, gray, and beige vinyl under current ownership. Interior equipment includes US Army floor mats, a heater, and an AM radio.

The steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 85k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. An AutoMeter temperature gauge has been added below the dash.

The 312ci V8 was factory equipped with a four-barrel Thermo-Matic carburetor and was rated at 255 horsepower when new. The engine is said to have been rebuilt as part of the refurbishment, with the wiring reworked at that time.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.

The Idaho title is listed as a duplicate.
