Nizamabad: Maa Palle Trust founder Narasimha Reddy said the true greatness lies in grains grown in our homes and fields and the natural health they provide. He explained that long before the modern concept of superfoods, every grain used by elders in daily cooking, such as rice, wheat, maize, pearl millet (sajja) and foxtail millet (korra), was itself a superfood. These grains, he said, reflect the wisdom of our ancestors, seasonal farming practices, and harmony with the local climate.
He said the Maa Palle Trust is working to conserve native seeds, distribute them to farmers, and revive their cultivation. True health, he added, does not come from imported superfoods from distant countries but from our own soil, water and seeds. By consuming locally grown food, he said, people can stay healthy, preserve cultural traditions, and support the environment.
