Hyderabad: A 34-year-old woman advocate Swapna was murdered allegedly by her brother at their agricultural land at Kethireddypally in Moinabad on Wednesday in connection with property disputes.
Swapna was working as a practicing advocate at Chevella court. She went to the farmland following a request from her brother to discuss the property issue. Even as the village elders were discussing the issue, her brother with the help of others attacked her resulting in serious injuries.
The villagers rushed her to the government hospital where she died later while undergoing treatment. Following the incident, the advocates staged a protest on the highway near Moinabad police station demanding stern action against the accused.
