On Tuesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Audra shared her tragic backstory with Holden and why she never cared for Claire. She said that she hailed from a poor family. When she was a child, her parents did two jobs to feed the family.

Additionally, she was troubled by affluent mean girls who turned things upside down. Audra sought validation from the group and ended up taking the wrong path by shoplifting. She stated, “I was just so desperate to fit in.”

Audra resorted to stealing to fit in with the crowd, but mended her ways as she grew up. As she started earning money, she returned to the places from where she had stolen and did some shopping. Further, she donated the items to the less fortunate people. Audra also shared, “I thought if I could help someone that might right one my wrongs.”

Holden was shocked to learn about this side of Audra. Fans were introduced to Audra as a ruthless businesswoman who always aimed for success. She lost her company, Glissade, Vibrante, and ruined her relationship with Nate. Audra accepted Victor’s offer to seduce Kyle in exchange for funds for her company.

With her real backstory, fans will finally start viewing the villain in a different light. Audra has come a long way from a poor family that struggled to provide her with a good meal and clothes.
