Bold & Beautiful’s Sydney Bullock Explains How Dylan Isn’t ‘Luna 2.0’

Although Sydney Bullock’s journey as Dylan began as a minor presence in The Bold and the Beautiful, the character has since evolved into a leading figure. In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, the actress opened up about Dylan’s arc and offered her personal insight into the character.

Contrary to popular opinion, Bullock believes that Dylan isn’t an evil person trying to steal Will from Electra. “Honestly, I think she’s just a girl with a crush,” the actress reflected. “And it’s a difficult situation, because she cares about Electra. She doesn’t want to be disrespectful, but she gets swept up in this guy who was really sweet and helped her out and took her in,” she continued.

Bullock added, “But I think it’s kind of a tug of war in her mind because she wants to be respectful, but she’s got a little crush on him. So when he seems to be maybe flirting back, I think it’s hard not to get swept up in it. What is a girl to do?”

The actress went on to assure viewers that Dylan isn’t anything like Luna, who was obsessed with Will. “As far as I know, I’m not Luna in a mask or Luna with plastic surgery to look like Dylan,” Bullock declared.

“I think Dylan, she’s genuine. She’s not a psychopath. She can maybe be a bad girl — not evil — but I think that she’s maybe got a little bit of rebellion in her. So not Luna 2.0, but maybe not quite as sweet and innocent as Electra,” the actress added.

Bullock concluded on a reassuring note, stating, “As far as I know, she’s not psycho. She’s not putting people in cages. She’s just maybe a little looser on the moral high ground, unintentionally. But she gets swept up.”
