Techie Dies By Suicide In Kukatpally

HYDERABAD: A 26-year-old software employee from Kukatpally was found dead on Monday. The victim, T. Vijaylakshmi, had gone missing two days back and a missing person case was registered earlier at the Kukatpally police station.

Kukatpally Inspector V. Subba Rao said Vijaylaxmi was reportedly undergoing psychiatric treatment at a private hospital for a month. Police said browsing history in her computer showed that she had been looking for ways to die by suicide.

Vijaylaxmi’s cousin had lodged a complaint with the police stating that on the morning of January 31, she had told her mother that she was leaving and would return after two days, without mentioning any specific location. When her mother tried calling her later, she was unreachable.

On Monday, a woman found her body and called the Lake police, who informed the Kukatpally police. Her body was recovered and sent to the Gandhi mortuary for postmortem examination.

Police also said that Vijaylaxmi’s parents had divorced, and her mother was inflicted with mental illnesses. Vijaylaxmi was reportedly the only one looking after her mother.
