This 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 troop carrier wagon was said to have spent time on a farm in Venezuela, where it was used to access the property. It was purchased by the current owner in 2020 and subsequently imported to the US, where it underwent a refurbishment that began in 2024 and was completed in 2025. The 4.2-liter 2F inline-six was fitted with 3F-style cylinder heads and Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, and a five-speed manual transmission was installed. The truck was repainted in its current shade of blue, while the seats were re-padded, fitted with heaters, and re-upholstered in tan leather and cloth. Equipment includes a dual-range transfer case, a Toyo aluminum radiator, Old Man Emu suspension components, power steering, Aisin locking front hubs, a WARN winch, fog lights, a pintle hitch, Vintage Air climate control, and a Kenwood head unit linked to a six-speaker sound system. This FJ45 Troopy has traveled approximately 418 kilometers (~260 miles) since the completion of the build, and it is now offered with receipts and a clean Florida title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The truck was disassembled, body repairs were performed, and a coat of epoxy primer was applied before it was repainted in its current shade of blue. The hardtop was removed during the process and refinished separately. All glass, weatherstripping, and hardware were replaced. Exterior details include upgraded headlights, fog lights, a WARN winch, a rear-mounted spare tire, rear ambulance-style doors, a pintle hitch, and fender-mounted turn signals.

The 16″ steel wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires, and a matching spare is mounted to the rear swing-out carrier. The truck is equipped with Old Man Emu suspension components, a power steering system from an 80-series Land Cruiser, and Aisin manually locking front hubs. The braking system was refreshed during the refurbishment and features power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin was overhauled during the refurbishment and features front bucket seats, a second-row bench, and inward-facing rear seats that were re-padded and re-upholstered in tan leather with Sunbrella patterned cloth inserts. A coating of LizardSkin insulation was applied to the interior, and further appointments include heated seats, pedal-height adjustment, insulated floor mats, three-point seatbelts, Vintage Air climate control, a Kenwood head unit linked with aftermarket audio components including six speakers, an amplifier, and a subwoofer.

The steering wheel frames a 160-km/h speedometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 418 kilometers (~260 miles). The Florida title lists a reading of 457 kilometers.

The 4.2-liter 2F inline-six was rebuilt and fitted with 3F-style cylinder heads, Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, and a Toyo aluminum radiator. The fuel and cooling systems were refreshed, and ignition components, as well as the fan clutch, various gaskets, hoses, belts, and bearings, were replaced.

A retrofitted H55F five-speed manual transmission was installed and is paired with a dual-range transfer case. The transmission and transfer case housings were refreshed during the refurbishment.
