Following a preview last month, Pinnacle Nissan and NISMO Nick have unveiled the new Sentra SE RS. Created in-house by the Scottsdale, Arizona dealership, the NISMO-inspired sedan is designed to “revive the spirit of the early-2000s tuner era in an affordable, showroom-ready package.”

It certainly stands out as the model has been equipped with a colorful graphics package that adds red flourishes to the front bumper, side skirts, mirror caps, and diffuser. More notably, the car has red, black, and gray stripes that transition into a checkered flag motif on the rear fenders.

Besides the special graphics, the Sentra Special Edition Rally Sport has a NISMO cat-back exhaust and 18-inch NISMO wheels with a black finish. The model also has a revised grille that eschews SR badging.

Rounding out the highlights are an adjustable coilover suspension and an upgraded interior. The latter sports black and red Katzkin leather seats with “SE RS” badging on the headrests.

How Much Does It Cost?

The full package costs $6,995, which sounds reasonable given the upgrades. However, since the SE RS is based on the $25,000 Sentra SR, you’re looking at spending at least $31,995.

That’s a lot of dough for a compact sedan and the same amount could get you an Altima SR Midnight Edition with money to spare. Drivers also have to settle for a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine pumping out 149 hp (111 kW / 151 PS) and 146 lb-ft (198 Nm) of torque.
