This 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 is a left-hand-drive Colombian-market truck that was acquired by the seller in 2017 and refurbished before being imported to the US in November 2024. Highlights of the project included stripping and repainting the body, refreshing the interior, and performing various mechanical updates including rebuilding the heating system and various wiring components.. The truck is finished in beige with a removable brown canvas soft top over orange upholstery and is powered by a 4.2-liter 2F inline-six linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It rides on blue-finished 16″ steel wheels and features power steering, front disc brakes, and Old Man Emu shocks. Inside, front bucket seats and inward-facing rear jump seats are accompanied by a retrofitted stereo, air conditioning, and a refrigerated center console. Further equipment includes front auxiliary lights, a Warn electric winch, and a pintle hitch. This FJ43 is now offered with a clean Florida title in the name of the seller’s company.

The two-door FJ43 is the medium-wheelbase version of the FJ40. This example was disassembled, media-blasted, and underwent bodywork before being repainted in its current beige finish as part of the aforementioned build completed in Colombia. The truck wears a removable brown canvas soft top with a roll-up rear opening and sides as well as a silver-finished steel front bumper and rear bumperettes. Further details include a fold-down windshield, a rear step, and a pintle hitch.

Auxiliary lights at the front flank a 12k-lb Warn electric winch with a synthetic line that is paired with a hawse-style fairlead.

The blue-finished 16″ steel wheels are mounted with 265/75 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. A matching spare is affixed to a swing-out carrier at the rear, while a Hi-Lift jack is mounted to the right side of the body. The truck is equipped with power steering and fitted with an Old Man Emu steering stabilizer and shocks. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The refreshed cabin features orange upholstery on the front bucket seats that extends to the center console, door panels, and rear jump seats as well as the boots for the shifters and parking brake. The center console houses a refrigerated compartment, and a dash-mounted digital media receiver is connected to DLS speakers out back. Further appointments include air conditioning, a heater, and retractable front shoulder belts.

A three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-km/h speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 269 kilometers (~167 miles), which is said to represent the distance driven since completion of the build.

A four-point roll bar is equipped out back, and the inward-facing rear jump seats are accompanied by lap belts for four passengers.

The 4.2-liter 2F inline-six breathes through a single downdraft carburetor. An aluminum radiator and an Optima RedTop battery were added as part of the refurbishment project, and further work is said to have included rebuilding the heating system and various wiring components.

Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The front axle is equipped with Aisin manually locking hubs.
