This 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera cabriolet was registered with two owners in Illinois and California before the seller’s purchase in 2016, and it now shows 46k miles. The air conditioning system was overhauled and converted to R134a refrigerant under previous ownership, and the car has been retrofitted with a Steve Wong performance chip, an M&K muffler, a front strut tower brace, and Bilstein dampers. Powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a G50 five-speed manual transaxle, it is finished in Grand Prix White over Burgundy leather. Equipment includes 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels with body-color centers as well as a replacement brown soft top, power-adjustable front sport seats, Nakamichi CD stereo, and a short shifter. This Carrera cabriolet is now offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, an owner’s manual, service records dating back to 1994, a cockpit cover, a tool roll, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Grand Prix White and features a replacement brown soft top that is said to have been sourced from GAHH Automotive. Additional details include a convertible top boot, fog lights, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors. The front hood shocks were replaced in June 2024, and a set of mirror covers is included in the sale. Paint meter readings are viewable in the gallery below, along with photos of the paint and trim condition.

The 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels feature body-color centers, and they were refurbished in 2009. Traction is provided by 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires that show 2016 production codes. The car is equipped with a Porsche front strut tower brace, and Bilstein shocks and strut inserts were installed under previous ownership, along with Turbo-specification tie rod ends. An alignment was performed and the ride height was adjusted in 2017, and the brake fluid was flushed at approximately 45k miles.

The cabin features power-adjustable front seats upholstered in burgundy leather. Amenities include a short shifter, air conditioning, power windows and locks, a Rennline dead pedal and pedal covers, Porsche-banded floor mats, and a Nakamichi CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. Over $2,500 of overhauls and updates were performed on the air conditioning system in 2012, and the system was converted to R134a refrigerant at that time. The microswitch for the left door lock was replaced in 2017, and a door lock operating rod, the right front seat switch, and the shifter bushings were replaced in 2021. Sun fading is noted on the front seats.

The factory steering wheel was reupholstered in burgundy leather with contrasting stitching by Porsche interior specialist Paul Champagne, according to the seller. VDO instrumentation includes a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a Quarz clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 46k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership. The cruise control is inoperative.

The 3.2-liter M930/25 flat-six features Bosch Motronic engine management and was factory rated at 214 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. A Steve Wong performance chip is said to have been installed, and an M&K muffler was fitted under previous ownership. The valves were most recently adjusted at approximately 35k miles. A replacement alternator and an Optima Redtop battery were installed in 2016, and the oil was changed in June 2024 with Brad Penn racing oil. The car most recently passed a California emissions inspection in September 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle. The left inner axle boot was replaced in 2017. Additional photos of the underside condition are viewable in the gallery.

The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists a build date of September 19, 1988, as well as identification numbers, colors, and factory options.

A warranty booklet, two keys, a cover for the cockpit, a tool roll, and service records are included in the sale.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
