Chevrolet 409ci Engine Short Block at No Reserve

This 409ci short block is believed to have been ordered in 1964 for a ’65 Impala, and it has remained stored, unused, in a wooden shipping crate. The block is equipped with a crankshaft, pistons, and bearing caps. Acquired by the seller in 2021, this short block is now offered at no reserve in Schuyler, Nebraska.

Written and ink-stamped markings are located on several sides of the wooden crate, which measures 30″ wide by 24″ deep by 16″ tall. Shipping weight is estimated at 350 pounds.

Part number 3839754 is marked on the crate.

The block is cast with 38857656, which is consistent with 409ci engine blocks used in late 1964 and 1965 models.

The block has a crankshaft, pistons, bearing caps, and core plugs.
