This 1952 MG TD/C Mark II was refurbished in the late 2010s with work that involved rebuilding and overboring the 1.3-liter XPAG inline-four, repainting the body in cream, retrimming the interior in black upholstery, and replacing the tan soft top. Equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, 15″ wire wheels, Andrex friction shocks, dual SU carburetors, a high-torque starter, driving lights, a woodgrain dashboard, and a Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel. The seller purchased the vehicle in 2023. This TD Competition is now offered with side curtains, a tonneau cover, and a Kentucky title in the seller’s name.

The car has been repainted in cream, and the tan folding soft top has been replaced. Features include a tan tonneau cover, a badge bar, driving lights, a louvered hood, a folding windshield, a fender-mounted driver-side mirror, dual windshield-mounted mirrors, wind wings, rear-hinged doors, running boards, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The seller notes nicks in the paint.

Replacement chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are mounted with 165/80 radial tires. A spare wheel and tire are affixed to the rear of the vehicle. The car has Mark II–specific Andrex friction shocks. Braking is handled by drums at each corner, and the seller tells us that the brakes recently were serviced.

The cabin houses a split bench seat that was retrimmed in black upholstery under prior ownership, as were the door panels. The black carpeting has been replaced. Other appointments include a woodgrain dashboard, door-panel map pockets, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.

The Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel is attached to an adjustable column and frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 105-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock as well as auxiliary gauges for oil pressure and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 755 miles, which is said to reflect the distance accumulated since the engine was rebuilt. Approximately five miles have been added under current ownership, and true mileage is unknown.

The 1.3-liter XPAG inline-four was rebuilt and bored .060″ over during previous ownership. Other work conducted during the rebuild included the following:
- Replaced pistons
- Reground camshaft
- Replaced camshaft gears
- Installed larger valves
- Replaced valve guides and valve springs
- Replaced rod bearings and bolts
- Rebuilt rocker-arm assembly
- Replaced timing chain
- Replaced dual SU carburetors
- Replaced water pump
- Rebuilt oil pump
A high-torque starter has been installed. The seller notes that the secondary fuel pump is not connected.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The clutch, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing were replaced during the refurbishment.

The car’s chassis number is TDC10561, whereas the Kentucky title cites a VIN sequence that omits the letter “C”, reading TD10561.
